So, today I went pretty light. I did a new workout for me, The Firm: Fat Burning Cardio Sculpt. What I like about this video is that it is only 30 minutes. Great if you are short on time. Tonight I wasn't short on time, but I was short on energy! Anyway, it uses the resistance cords. I don't have the official Firm cords, but you can use any cords. The music is good, but not a driving force. Tina, the instructor, is really the motivator in this workout. The moves are easy and repetitive so it is good for beginners. I am a total fan of The Firm, so really, any DVD by them is fabulous.

So today I started with Turbo Jame 20 minute workout. I love this entire workout series! Chalene is a fabulous motivator! The music is great! It really gets you pumped up and ready to workout. The 20 minute workout is great too because I can get in a quick cardio before doing the circuit training. The other nice thing about the Turbo workouts is that it is very repetitive, in a good way. Once you learn the "Elite 11", as Chalene refers to them, you can do the workout without a problem.
Then I did the Personal Training With Jackie: Power Circuit Training. Today I opted for the 15 minute total body circuit. What is great about this workout is that it is a quick, but tough 15 minutes. She starts with the warm up, which I think needs to be a little longer, so I did the Turbo Jam first. Then, she goes on to the lower body. You do three moves for a short period of time and then you do what she refers to as the Power Burn for which you do the same three moves without stopping, for one minute. I really like that she is very motivational. Her cuing is good. The counting is a little off, but overall, a great workout. I will definitely be sore tomorrow. A good sore!
Can't wait until tomorrow! Who knows which workout I'll be in the mood for!
